It seems that our precious Dickie is a bit under the weather.
I don’t think that there’s anything that we can do to help… I’m hoping it will just pass.
Dickie has wound up with a pretty serious case of the “Bieber Fever”
Yes, the one and only… Justin Bieber
or as Dickie would say, Justin Beaver.
I’m not even sure how this could have happened. I have all sons. As far as I know there has been no Justin Bieber exposure. He probably caught it at school… Damn it.
It all started out kind of innocently…. Dickie would wander around the house singing, to himself, Baby, Baby Ohhhhhhhh.
Just randomly.
For no real reason.
and we would laugh at him
“You like Justin Beaver, Mom?”
“I don’t know Dickie… I don’t really care one way or the other”
“Me like Justin Beaver Mom… Justin Beaver cool all time”
*sigh*
and around the house he’s go…. “Baby, Baby, Ohhhhhhhh”
He seems to keep his symptoms to himself when we’re out and about…
Thank goodness for that. I honestly don’t know what I would do I he belted out with his Bieber-tune in the middle of Wal-Mart.
I mean, he looks more like his Dad than he looks like me… I could probably try to NOT claim him…. but he’s a pretty quick runner and I doubt I could make a successful escape.
But anywho.
Hubs, myself and Dickie were on the way to the baby-sitter the other morning when Dickie started up.

Hubs laughingly said back to Dickie… “You like Justin Bieber…. you’re gonna kiss boys and your probably going to grow up to marry a boy!!!”
Without missing a beat Dickie dreamily responded
“Yeah… Justin Beaver!!!”

Okay, here’s my dirty little Bieber confession. #3 is obsessed with him. A while back I decided that each kid could have a special outing with me. I took #1 and #2 to the Met and out for sushi. I took #4 to see KISS. I asked #3 and #5 what they wanted. In time, #3 came to me and said she wants to see Justin Bieber. Now, working nights, I have to take off work to make this happen. I searched my soul and determined I. Can’t. Sit. Through. It. I can’t do it. I’ve now passed up 3 Bieber dates that she is blissfully unaware of (apparently no one else’s parents can sit through it either because she didn’t hear about them at school). I hope that she’ll grow out of it soon and come up with another idea.
